Behavourism's Theory with my CMap

There are various theories that we have learned today in class. The theory that we dwell on is behavourism's theory. This theory have made an impact in our organizational learning.
Positive reinforcement coupled with reward system brings positive learning abilites and habits (e.g. present education system) and negative reinforcement coupled with punishment brings deterrence (e.g law enforcer such as police force).

This is a learning on the use of cmap to plot the learning strategies. It shows various strategies and the PBL in particular (in green font) is branched out to indicate the process.

CMAP

This is the CMAP that I just learnt to create today. A very useful tool but dunno when I can use it.

The main idea starts from Learning Theories which branches out to 9 examples. I've greyed out 7 of the examples and highlighted the 2 examples that I further "explode".

Social constructivism goes to networking and meeting people at various places. Be it for work, leisure or online networking, it promotes exchange of ideas in this manner.

Andragogy is an adult learning environment which differs from pedagogy. This is because adults have specific interest which relates and is useful to work or daily life.

my Concept Map

This attached CMap is about examples of Learning Theories. One such theory is about Social Constructivism. Its knowledge constructed based on social negoitation, without the Instructor telling the students. To be exact, its focus on individual learning taking place in a group.

Some technologies which can be used to enhance S.C. are through Wikipedia, Facebook or Community Podcast.

There is one interesting Case Study which a High School teacher uses S.C. to teach English Literature.

Concept Map - Social Constructivism

Social constructivism is closely related to Social constructionism in the sense that people are working together to construct artifacts. However, there is an important difference. Social constructionism focuses on the artifacts that are created through the social interactions of a group while social constructivism focuses on an individual's learning that takes place because of their interactions in a group.

CMAP- Learning Strategies

This picture shows the different types of learning strategies.
The Kolb's theory of Experiential learning explains the 4 stages of learning ie the concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation and active experimentation. This the theory also explain the 4 types of learning styles.

Unltimately, learning takes place when the subject taught is meaningful and relevant to the learner and the teacher must facilitate effectively.

C.Map is a C.Map = Concept Map = Not a Mind Map :P

Concept map is a diagram showing the relationships among concepts. Cocept Map is not the same as Mind Map as Mind Map need not to have any related point or effect.
